Privacy policy | World of Drift

This privacy statement has been prepared based on provisions of Art. 13/14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) and is updated from time to time.

This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

Cookies and analytics on this website

When you first visit worldofdrift.net, a banner asks for your choice. Nothing optional runs before you choose, and you can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of every page.

Essential (always on). Your cookie choice is stored in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again. The site may also keep small, temporary values in your browser to make it work (for example a cached count of Discord members online). None of this identifies you or leaves your browser.
Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to count page views and clicks on buttons such as “Join the Discord”. It sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*, up to 2 years). Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. Google may process this data outside the EU, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If you decline or later withdraw consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and its cookies are removed.
Embedded media. Videos are hosted on YouTube. They load only when you press play, or automatically if you allowed “Embedded media” in your preferences. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once a video loads, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
Discord. The live “drifters online” number is fetched from Discord’s public invite information. No personal data is sent to Discord by this request beyond what any web request includes (such as your IP address). Clicking “Join the Discord” takes you to Discord, where Discord’s privacy policy applies.
